The International Foundation for Protection Officers is a co-sponsor but is not an organizer of the contest and has no standing with regard to the terms and conditions of the contest. Contest start/end dates, including time and time zone: April 9, 2024 to July 1, 2024. CET 12:00am.

Submitting materials required: Beside the ”product”, also Country of residence, age (adult or minor) and resident address, tel. and e-mail.

Eligibility requirements: Entrants must be at least 18 years old and are entering this contest as an individual person, not as a representative of any professional organization.

Methods of entry: Entries will be accepted in any form: video, blog post, poem, gif, song, audio, illustration, meme, etc. As long as a publicly viewable link is provided on the entry form, your entry will be judged. Broken links or links that cannot be opened by the judges, such as those made on platforms behind paywalls, platforms requiring membership to view posts, or those posted to private groups, may not be judged and thus not eligible to win a prize. Judges will endeavor to open and judge every entry submitted but only those publicly available online can be guaranteed to be eligible to win a contest prize.

Description of the prize(s): $500 USD First Prize, 2 runners-up will be selected to receive a $100 gift voucher from a known online shopping platform. 5 honorable mention recipients will be offered a free one-year membership to the International Foundation of Protection Officers (a $40 value).

Date winner(s) will be notified: July 11, 2024. Contest organizers will contact winners via the email address provided on the entry form. Repeated attempts will be made to contact winners, however, in the event email accounts have been deleted, organizers will not have any other means of notification.

  • 35% Persuasiveness: How effectively does the entry promote positive aspects of a security career.

  • 25% Positivity: Extent to which the entry communicates a positive image of security work and its contribution to public safety and society.

  • 25% Creativity and originality of the contribution.

  • 15% Brevity: Does the entry quickly and easily relate positive aspects of employment in security.

Method of selecting a winner:

  • Pre-selection: two defined persons of the International Security Ligue pre-sort for eligibility and fulfillment of all requirements.

  • The standing Marketing and Communication Working Group of the International Security Ligue selects the winner based on the defined criteria.

Publicity rights regarding winning entries. Automatically with the participation on the contest, contestants delegate the right for publishing to the International Security Ligue, to publish the entry on their web site and any other social media.

Publicity rights: The contestant confirms with the entry of the contribution, that all parts of the product is born by the entrant and not subject to any property right violations. The International Security Ligue and co-sponsoring organization(s) wave all the responsibility to the entrant and also any legal liability.

Limits on Indemnification: The International Security Ligue is not paying any to the authors beyond the formulated rules. The Author is fully responsible for his/her/its own content, and protects the International Security Ligue from any allegations, in case the product is not in accordance with the rules set out herewith.

Odds of winning are as set out in this set of rules. The decision is of the selecting committee is final and cannot be contested by the participants or anyone in its name.

If the prize winner is subject to U.S. taxes, the host is required to send the winner a 1099 in January of the following year.

The records for the details of the contest will be maintained for 2 years.
