How do I enter the contest?

Easy. Just post something publicly online and then send us the link (the form is below). We will review the entries, and those judged to be the most creative and the most effective at conveying the importance and value of security work will win.

What can I post?

Anything you want. You could post a video of you singing a song about your best day at work. You could write a blog post on the “5 Best Things About Being a Security Officer.” You could draw a cartoon about a security officer catching a crook. You get the idea. Post whatever you want that might encourage others to understand the benefits of a security job.

Where can I post?

Anywhere online that allows you to share a publicly available link to your post so our judges can review it.

What could I win?

You could walk away with a cool $500 in cash (USD). Or maybe one of the two $100 gift cards for runners-up. Additionally, five honorable mention entrants will win a free year membership to the IFPO ($40 value), to keep current on trends within the security industry, receive valuable career development information, and discounts on educational programs.

How will you judge my entry?

A little of this and a little of that. Persuasiveness counts most, i.e., how effectively does the entry promote positive aspects of a security career? Conveying a positive image of our industry is also important and being creative helps. The exact formula is included in the complete contest rules.

Can I use AI to help me make my online post?

Sure thing. As long as you have the rights to the material, any post counts. The message is what is important: Security work is important to society and a good career.
